Greetings to the Richmond Metro Chapter of Virginia State University Alumni Association!

​

I am Trojan proud to be elected to serve as the current President of the VSUAA Richmond Metro Chapter & also to serve as the VSU Alumna of the Year!

​

During the early years of the Virginia State Alumni Association only one chapter existed, the National Chapter. By 1914, the Alumni Association grew in size and in ambition as eight (8) chapters across the state of Virginia had been established. Richmond Metro Chapter (though renamed) remains one of those chapters in existence today!

​

We must continue to be proud of our university and committed to its cause. We are “Virginia State University- Everywhere! We must take on the ownership of the “The Gift of Trojan Giving’  – don’t forget the lessons learned- and give back frequently and consistently to our students. The VSUAA Richmond Alumni Metro Chapter continues to support the mission & goals of Virginia State University. Annually, we provide scholarships & funds to our students, supports the activities of the VSU Pre-Alums and contribute to the endowment.

As a two-time graduate of VA State, I have served as Board Liaison on the National VSUAA Board of Directors. Currently, I am co-chairing the VSUAA Membership Task Force Committee & the VSUAA Presidents’ Forum. I take pride in mentoring our VSU students where I am fondly recognized as an “Ambassador” for our VSUAA Pre Alumni Association.
